Most of the recent projects we have completed were quite modern and sleek, the client wanted it to look sleek and simple but in our recent project in Kettering, the client was looking for something different, something which will feel aesthetic yet different, something which represented more retro feel to it, so after looking through a lot of designs and ideas, the client decided to go for a Victorian bathroom design!

Before Bathroom Installation

The bathroom was in an abysmal condition, with red coloured walls that clashed with old-fashioned white tiles and furniture. The wooden flooring was a mess, with missing pieces and worn-out sections. The bathtub was filthy and outdated, and the wall behind the flush was a mess of scattered tiles, leaving an unappealing sight, we knew that the bathroom required extensive work, but we didn’t shy away from the challenge. We were determined to turn this outdated space into a work of art. With unwavering commitment, we started the renovation process.

Despite the challenges, our team was determined to complete the project to perfection. They poured their heart and soul into every detail. And after painstaking effort and meticulous attention to detail, the bathroom was transformed into a breathtaking space.

Vanity: After Bathroom Installation

Choosing the vanity was a hard call for the client, and after looking at a lot of options we went with The Chatsworth traditional graphite semi-recessed vanity, featuring Matt Black Handles, it is a stunning addition to this Victorian-styled bathroom. Its classic design, intricate detailing, and graphite finish exude timeless elegance. The semi-recessed style adds a modern touch, while the ample storage space and durable construction make it both functional and stylish.

Flooring

For the flooring of the bathroom, we opted for Classic Victorian Tile Vinyl, a choice that was both visually stunning and uniquely crafted. The intricate design of the tiles instantly caught the eye, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the space. It was selected for its exceptional quality and durability, ensuring that it would stand the test of time in a high-traffic area like the bathroom.

The classic design of the tiles was reminiscent of the Victorian era, adding a timeless charm to the overall aesthetic, simplicity of its design added to its uniqueness, making it a standout feature in the bathroom.

Not only does it provide a visually stunning backdrop for the bathroom, but it also adds a layer of practicality. The vinyl material is easy to clean and maintain, making it a practical choice for a bathroom environment where moisture and spills are common.

New Bath Tub & Panel

New Bathtub was installed in this bathroom. To enhance the aesthetic appeal of the bathtub, we opted for a wooden bath panel in a sleek black colour. This choice was made to create a standout feature in the bathroom and elevate the overall appearance of the bathtub. The rich black colour of the panel added a touch of sophistication and elegance to the bathtub, making it a focal point in the bathroom.

The contrast between the dark black colour of the panel and the other elements in the bathroom created a visually striking look that added depth and character to the space, the wooden bath panel also provides practical benefits. It helps to protect the sides of the bathtub from moisture and wear, while also adding a layer of insulation to keep the water temperature maintained.

Glass Panel

To further enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the bathtub, we installed a modern and sleek bi-fold bathtub glass panel. This choice was made not only for its contemporary design, but also for its practical benefits. The bi-fold design of the glass panel was particularly advantageous for small bathrooms, as it saved space while also preventing water from splashing onto the floor.

The panel could be easily folded inwards when not in use, creating a streamlined look and maximising the available space in the bathroom. The sleek and transparent design of the glass panel added a touch of elegance and modernity to the bathroom, making it a visually appealing addition to the overall aesthetic. This makes it a practical choice for maintaining a clean and dry bathroom environment.

Fixtures and Fittings

The Kingston Brass Vintage Deck Mounted Clawfoot Tub Filler with Porcelain Cross Handles is a true statement piece in any Victorian-styled bathroom. Its classic design and porcelain cross handles exude vintage charm, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the bath tub area. The Gallant traditional thermostatic shower bar mixer valve with chrome finish is a perfect complement to the clawfoot tub filler. Its traditional design and thermostatic control ensure a comfortable and safe shower experience, while the chrome finish adds a touch of modernity to the Victorian-inspired bathroom.

Completing the shower setup is the Victorian Hand Shower in brass with a chrome-plated finish. This hand shower is not only functional but also adds a touch of authenticity to the Victorian styling of the bathroom. Its brass construction and chrome plating adds durability and timeless elegance, making it a perfect addition to the shower area in a Victorian-styled bathroom.

Wall tiles

For the Wall tiles we had a lot of options in our mind, since we were going with the Victorian styled bathroom, we had to choose something that represented the traditional Victorian era and we could’ve gone with different colour for the wall tiles but we went with The Victorian Green Metro Tiles, because they are an epitome of timeless elegance, reminiscent of the traditional subway tiles that were popular during the Victorian era. Their classic shape and size, along with the bold green color, add a touch of opulence and grandeur to the bathroom.

The intricate detailing and craftsmanship of these tiles are truly mesmerising, creating a captivating visual impact. The Victorian Green Metro Tiles not only stand out in a Victorian-styled bathroom but also evoke a sense of nostalgia and vintage charm. They effortlessly blend with other Victorian-inspired elements.

Bathroom Radiator

During the process of selecting a radiator for the bathroom, we thoroughly explored numerous options. However, given that the design concept was centred around a Victorian-style bathroom, it was clear that a Victorian bathroom radiator was the ideal choice. The radiator’s distinctively ornate and traditional design perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic we were striving to achieve. It seamlessly integrated into the bathroom’s décor, adding a touch of elegance and authenticity to the Victorian theme. We were delighted with our decision to opt for a Victorian-style bathroom radiator, as it added a sophisticated and nostalgic charm to the space, while also serving its practical purpose of providing warmth and comfort.
