This project of ours is a Kitchen installation in Northampton. This is one of the biggest projects we have done due to long size of the kitchen and redoing of the floor foundation.

The kitchen was quite old and it required a complete kitchen fitting as it was going to be completely rebuilt.

The kitchen was in a bad shape, it had old furniture, worn out wiring, leaking plumbing but worse part of this kitchen was its old structure and the bumpy flooring, which was starting to break.

The floor of the kitchen had a weak base, the kitchen floor was sagging, which was a clear indication of weak foundation in the kitchen!

To make sure that the kitchen floor will not sink in the future, we opted to repair the weak foundation under kitchen floor. This required us to completely remove everything from the kitchen, the old furniture, tiles and even the old plumbing. We then had an empty room in front of us, ready to be turned into a much more modern kitchen.

The problem with kitchen floor was poor support and for that we had to make sure that we install more support to the old beams in the foundation of kitchen floor. Sistering the floor joists gives them more strength and a better life to the kitchen foundation.

We then started installing the flooring. After installing the basic foundation of the floor we went on to work on the kitchen plumbing and drainage, which was rusty and old, it was replaced by newer and better-quality plumbing. The electric work was carried out in the next phase, where we installed the best quality of electrical wires and switches in the kitchen.

Wall Tiles: After Kitchen Installation in Northampton

The white metro styled rectangular tiles in the kitchen brings a lot of harmony to its theme, the metro tiles in the kitchen provides a lot of protection on the walls from oil and other kitchen items, that could harm the walls and paint, a lot of times the oil build up on the wall is quite hard to remove, but a tiled wall is very easy to clean with some warm soapy water.

The old Kitchen had a Dull yellowish colour on its walls. The new kitchen would look pretty outdated with that colour scheme, so we opted for a pure white colour that is the most versatile and sophisticated colour. The white would go on to sit perfectly with the new fittings/cabinets and flooring, it is also easier on eyes.

The quality of the new white paint will make it withstand the test of time as white is a timeless colour that will never go out of the fashion.

New Cooker and Chimney Cooker Hood

The kitchen also has a new cooker and chimney cooker hood. The cooker is multipurpose and it includes a large size oven in it too. The chimney hood over the cooker is also new and it is one of the most essential upgrades for a kitchen as it helps suck all the smoke, oil and odour from the kitchen, which helps to protect the walls of the kitchen from getting dark and getting grease on them. Use of chimney cooker hood also helps keeping the kitchen temperature low.

Kitchen fittings/cupboards/cabinets

A modern kitchen should always have modern and sleek furniture in it, the fittings/cupboard/cabinets are of the highest standard material. Matte white fittings look astonishing with our colour palette and the overall design of the kitchen.

The cupboards/cabinets are quite spacious. They are made of the best built quality out there, they are stain resistant, the matte finish gives a better resistance against stains. The matte white is also a timeless appeal because it will never get out of fashion. The simplicity of its design makes them perfect choice for such an aesthetic and minimalistic kitchen.

Electrical switches

A lot of new electrical switches were installed in this kitchen. The electrical switches are very essential in a kitchen, the more they are the better. Kitchens particularly have a lot of appliances in them, from coffee machines to microwave ovens, all these appliances require good efficient power points and that is why more electrical sockets were installed in this kitchen.

Worktop and sink

The worktop is a black sparkle worktop which is made of laminate with matte finish. It is durable. The solid material in it makes them one of the best choices for a kitchen worktop. The matte finish makes the darker tone even more intense, which makes it a better choice for the worktop as it goes quite well with the overall kitchen theme, and who doesn’t love a good-looking worktop in the era of social media/instagram? All your food posts will look even more better with this worktop as the background.

One of the main advantages of a black sparkle worktop is its feel and looks. It is also more affordable than other materials, with its quality and looks this is something worth paying for, if taken care of it can last a very long time. If stains and other spills are cleaned away as quickly as possible, this worktop can retain its condition for many years to come.

The new sink is also installed in front of the window, making it the perfect spot. The light emitting from window will give the client a better viewing experience when looking to clean things out. The new tap is also quite durable and has better water flow technology, which makes sure that the flow of water is always optimal.

Window blind installation

A window in the kitchen can provide multiple benefits, the light that emits through it and fresh air, but at times people don’t want such harsh sun light to enter into the kitchen or wants some privacy, thus we installed these blinds as per clients requirement.

New lights: This kitchen never gets dark!

The new spotlights make sure that the kitchen shines as bright as it does in the daylight. Good lighting in a modern kitchen is quite essential, as shadows can slow the process of cooking and other activities that take place in a kitchen.

The new spotlights that we installed on the ceiling of the kitchen will provide enough light to eliminate all shadows and make sure that all the activities are carried out in the kitchen without any sort of disturbance.

Flooring

The tiles on the kitchen floor are black ceramic rectangular tiles with veiny white lines on them, which makes them look absolutely amazing and increases the visual value of the kitchen.

The floor is quite sturdy, it was all levelled and evened out during the kitchen renovation process and then the floor tiles were installed. These kitchen floor tiles are easier to clean with water and its good built quality makes quite strong enough to take all sort of abuse.

Kitchen Radiator

We have installed a tall radiator in the kitchen so the temperature of the kitchen area can be maintained during cold winter months.

New back door installed

While renovating the kitchen, we did make sure to replace everything that needed to be replaced and the back door of the kitchen door was in pretty bad shape as well. So it was decided to replace it with a new and much better-quality door. The glass of the kitchen door is tempered for privacy of the kitchen and the colour of the door is white, matching it with our overall kitchen theme.
